Miso is a traditional fermented food that has been an essential part of Japanese food culture for more than 1,300 years. Made from soybeans, salt, and koji, miso is best known as the main ingredient in miso soup, one of Japan’s most well-known dishes. In addition, it is widely used as a versatile seasoning in a variety of cuisines.
